Duffle in a Day

Looking for a quick and easy sewing project? Consider making your own duffle bag! With just a few materials and a little bit of time, you can create a stylish and functional bag that's perfect for carrying your gym gear, weekend essentials, or whatever else you need to tote around.

You can find plenty of duffle bag patterns online. I've used the Holland Duffle pattern from Centre Street Quilts as it's also the perfect size for an under-the-plane-seat option. It's an easy make, especially when you follow their YouTube tutorials.

To get started, you'll need some fabric (I used cotton from Marimekko, gifted to me by my sister), foam stabiliser, two zippers, and some webbing or straps for the handles.

Once you have your materials, it's time to get sewing! With a little bit of focus and determination, you should be able to complete your duffle bag in just one day. And the best part is, you'll have a unique and personalized accessory that you can use for years to come. Happy sewing!

Until next time,

Caroline
